Coffee

I’ve had a long relationship with coffee. In high school I used to bring a thermos full of Folgers instant coffee with milk. I loved lattes and I used to get ones that were later branded a Frappuccino by Starbucks.

One of the reasons I drank coffee is because my high school drug of choice was lack of sleep. I’ve always been a bit hypomanic at night, staying up late to finish a project. Maybe it’s easier for me to get that creative flow state when I’m a bit tired.

But my constant companion throughout all of this has been coffee. These days I do a pour over with either a Chemex or a Kalita Wave. My daily grind is either Portland Coffee Company Breakfast Blend or their Ethiopian. I prefer the Ethiopian, but Starbucks sells the Breakfast Blend.
